History and visit the Pont Royal in Paris
The Pont Royal is the third oldest bridge in the city of Paris, it was a historical monument since May 1 1939. With five semicircular arches, it connects the right bank and left bank of the Seine at the Pavillon de Flore, the rue du Bac and rue de Beaune. In 1632, a toll bridge wooden bridge called Pont Rouge or St. Anne. Since 1550 a container intended to come and go to the location itself. Considering the materials used in its construction, it was a heartbreaking fragility and was repaired for the first time in 1649. During the French Revolution, it was renamed the National Bridge. The future French emperor would have placed some cannons to defend the national convention and the committee of public safety who sat in the Tuileries. The bridge was slightly restored in 1850 and 2005 lights were placed there in anticipation of the 2012 Olympics. It is often the scene of all sorts of festive events.
